India’s largest airline IndiGo announced that it would be eliminating the fuel surcharges on all the flights effective immediately. This decision comes as welcome news for passengers, as it is estimated the removal of these fees will reduce airfares by approximately USD 12.01 on certain long-haul routes.

IndiGo first introduced fuel surcharges on domestic and international tickets back in October 2021 to offset the rising costs of jet fuel at the time.
