Network Fintech OPC, in collaboration with the Council of Global Startup, is thrilled to announce the opening of a new hub in Faridpur, Bangladesh. This strategic move aims to bolster the support system for local entrepreneurs and angel investors, fostering innovation and economic growth within the region.
The new hub will serve as a vibrant ecosystem where entrepreneurs can access mentorship, resources, and networking opportunities essential for scaling their ventures. Additionally, angel investors will have a dedicated platform to discover promising startups and contribute to their success through funding and guidance.
Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports marks the 25-day countdown to the 13th African Games, Accra 2023
With just 25 days to go until the start of the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana is making final preparations to host the major continental sporting event. At a ceremony attended by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, officials highlighted the nation’s readiness to stage the competition from August 4-19. Over 6,000 athletes from 54 African countries are expected to take part across 20 sports.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif (MP), thanked the president for his support and noted the challenges that have been overcome to reach this milestone. He stated that the facilities constructed for the Games, such as those at Borteyman Sports Complex commissioned recently, will leave a lasting legacy for Ghana.

Commonwealth Secretary-General honoured with Global Africa Champion Award in Ghana
The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC, Commonwealth Secretary-General, was honoured with the Global African Champion Award in recognition of her outstanding advocacy for prosperity across Africa. The prestigious award was presented by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of Ghana, during a ceremony in Accra.
This historic moment marked the Commonwealth Secretary-General as the inaugural recipient of the award, with the ceremony witnessing the presence of African and Caribbean heads of government, prominent political figures, senior policymakers, technocrats, civil society representatives, academics, and business executives.
This initiative, sponsored by the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), aims to accelerate and enhance trade between African countries.
