Serum Institute of India will invest $68.24 million in the UK’s Oxford Biomedica, one of the COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers for drug major AstraZeneca. These funds will be used to develop the fallow area at its Oxbox plant into a manufacturing space which is expected to come online in mid-2023.

Amid crypto boom, Nigeria, Ghana in race to have own digital currency
With the rising popularity of cryptocurrencies in West Africa, Nigeria and Ghana have partnered with foreign financial tech companies to create digital versions of their currencies. Nigeria will launch its digital currency on October 1 called eNaira, while Ghana will begin trials of its e-Cedi this month.
