Nigerian tech startup TeamApt is about to raise its third round of funding at a value of more than $1-billion. The funding will result in the Lagos-based banking services software firm joining a spate of African fintech startups and becoming so-called unicorns. The founder and CEO Tosin Eniolorunda stated that the raised money will be used for the expansion to Egypt, Ghana and Cameroon.

India to supply 192 MW power to Bangladesh as per the renewed agreement. It is a 20% increase from the earlier 160 MW it supplied. The two commonwealth countries inked an agreement on January 11, 2010, for power trading at a mutually agreed price which expired on March 16, 2021. It was renewed on March 17, 2021, with modified terms and conditions.

President Muhammadu Buhari declares Nigeria as the most viable and attractive investment destination in Africa. Buhari added that Nigeria is on the path of becoming a leading industrial and trading destination in Africa. Worth $992 million were invested in the country’s startups in just the first 10 months of 2021. The federal government has also developed the Nigerian Startup Bill. If passed, the bill will empower the Nigerian tech ecosystem with subsequent laws and regulations serving the best interests of the sector.
