Melting stages urge climate change action
At the 2022 Sydney Festival, a massive 2.7-tonne iceberg was seen over Sydney Harbour, as a part of a climate change performance piece called “Thaw”. The thawing ice here represents the dangers of melting glaciers around the world and global warming. Director Joshua Thomson said the work is “an artful statement on climate change and our shared sense of urgency for action”.

Malaysia’s central bank studies need for a digital currency
Malaysia is looking for ways to adopt digital currency, the nation’s central bank said. Last year, Australia, Singapore and South Africa joined forces to test the use of central bank digital currencies (CBDC) for cross border settlements. Several countries are accessing ways to make everything from interbank transactions to consumer purchases cheaper and more efficient.
