The Birmingham 2022 Queen’s baton relay is to arrive in Fiji on February 12. It will the 34th destination out of the 72 Commonwealth nations. The President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, will officially welcome the Baton. Further on February 14, it will leave for the next destination – Samoa.

Rwanda to host the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that was postponed twice due to the impact of Covid-19. It is now planned to take place in June 2022 in the capital Kigali, the Commonwealth Secretariat said. This is going to be the first CHOGM event held in Africa for over a decade. The CHOGM is the Commonwealth’s member countries high-level consultative and policy-making gathering held every two years.

To ensure a safer internet environment for children, Bangladesh’s State Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak introduces a new digital initiative called ‘Safe Internet and Early Childhood Development.’ The initiative will develop guidelines for parents and caregivers to promote safe internet practices.
