Commonwealth empowers female entrepreneurs through training programme in Pakistan
In collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat, more than 200 women completed Women Economic Entrepreneurship Training (WEET) programme in Karachi, Pakistan. The training course gave valuable insights into the business world and empowered women with the skills to establish their own businesses.

Ugandan pupil wins Commonwealth essay writing competition
Ethan Charles Mufuma, 13-year-old, a pupil at Namilyango Junior Boys School in Mukono District wins the 2021 Junior Queen’s Commonwealth essay writing competition (QCEC). Ethan is the first Ugandan and African child to win the prestigious competition which is the world’s oldest international essay writing competition for schools, established in 1883.

Cayman now full member of Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation
The Cayman Islands, in a virtual ceremony, has been inducted as a full sector member of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO). The CTO is the oldest and largest Commonwealth membership organisation in the field of information and communication technologies that provides technical support, capacity development as well as consultancy and advisory services.
