Rwanda: What recent developments could boost start-ups ecosystem?

Barbados to establish world’s first metaverse embassy
Barbados prepares to become the first sovereign country with an embassy in the metaverse. The launch of the embassy is tentatively due for January next year. The tiny Caribbean Island has also led the charge on the development of an e-currency called DCash, which is at present being rolled out in the four-member countries – that includes Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Lucia.

New funding for improving access to blue climate finance
The Commonwealth Secretariat announces the appointment of a consortium of experts in a joint venture of the Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub and the Commonwealth Blue Charter to advise on ocean-climate finance. The consortium will help Commonwealth governments to develop proposals and access funding for ocean-based adaptation and mitigation activities.
