Australia to invest $73 million in quantum science as critical technology
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison plans to spend about $73 million to develop quantum science and technology. The commonwealth nation has also pledged to spend billions of dollars in critical nine technologies in order to keep strategic rivals away from controlling industries and modernise its economy.

Heineken to acquire South Africa’s Distell and Namibia Breweries
Heineken agrees to buy South Africa’s Distell Group Holdings for $2.5 billion and a majority stake in Namibia Breweries Ltd to form a southern Africa drinks group worth $4.6 billion. The expansion is expected to restore profit margins and boost earnings. This acquisition would be the first for Dolf van den Brink, who took charge at Heineken in June 2020.

Rwanda President Kagame invites PM Modi to CHOGM summit in Kigali
Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame invites Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the next Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) summit during a call by Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan in Kigali. The two sides also discussed their local, international and multilateral issues and agreed to work with each other.
