Malaysia is looking for ways to adopt digital currency, the nation’s central bank said. Last year, Australia, Singapore and South Africa joined forces to test the use of central bank digital currencies (CBDC) for cross border settlements. Several countries are accessing ways to make everything from interbank transactions to consumer purchases cheaper and more efficient.
