Almost one-third of Nigeria’s commercial bank CEOs are women. Today banks give more attention to women by harnessing their strengths. However, Nigeria still finds it challenging to expand the lenders’ customer base, especially when it comes to women. They had significantly less financial access relative to men due to the use of more informal financial services method.

Malawi’s Medium and Small Scale Enterprises form coalition
Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in Malawi form a coalition called the Malawi Union of MSMEs (MUSME) to consolidate their power and be able to speak with one voice as an association. It will be addressing challenges like failure to access business financing and other issues affecting MSMEs in the country.

India partners with Nigeria on Ayurvedic health system to improve life expectancy, address malnutrition
Speaking at the High Commission of India to mark the festival Diwali, Lagos partners with nutritionists in Nigeria to introduce Ayurvedic health concepts. The partnership aims to enhance the nutritional status and address health problems like malnutrition and resultant health issues. It is an extended initiative of Swastha Bharat plan, which means ‘Healthy India’.
