E-payments technology firm Nuvei will team up with Visa to roll out crypto-friendly debit cards to its partners across the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Nuvei will utilise its crypto fintech subsidiary Simplex for the process that was purchased in cash last May. Nuvei further added that it will add payment support for about 40 cryptocurrencies for e-commerce merchants on its network.

Grant Thornton Malta, a leading tax, audit and advisory firm receives HSBC Malta Businesswoman of the Year Awards for ‘Excellence in the Promotion of Women in Business 2020’. The other recipients were Claire Pisani for Malta Businesswoman of the Year, Krystle Penza for Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Roberta Lepre for Sustainability Role Model Award. HSBC Bank launched the Malta Businesswoman of the Year Awards in 2018 towards empowering women in business and recognising the excellence of women who have achieved significant success.

The government of St Lucia announces hosting of ‘The Vaxxed Mas’, Carnival 2022, but only vaccinated revellers, patrons, support staff and service providers will be allowed. The Carnival season brings thousands of visitors to the island as it is an important part of tourism in St Lucia. Strict protocols and guidelines will be implemented according to the government.
