Bangladesh Language Martyrs’ Day
To commemorate Language Movement Day, the Shaheed Minar (Martyrs’ Monument), a symbolic sculpture, was erected in Dhaka. On this day, the sculpture is offered with flowers memory of those who gave their lives in defence of their language and culture.

AU welcomes $11.48 million grant from the African Development Fund to deliver Agenda 2063
The African Union Commission (AUC) to benefit from an $11.48 million grant from the African Development Fund to strengthen its governance and provide it with institutional capacity-building support. Bank’s President Akinwumi Adesina and AUC’s Deputy Chair Dr Monique Nsanzabaganwa also discussed the organisation’s future and challenges.
