Royal family members to attend Commonwealth Day Service on March 14
Members of the British Royal Family are set to attend the annual Commonwealth Day Service on March 14. It will be a celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee and her lifetime commitment to the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth theme for 2022 is – ‘Delivering a common future,’ which includes musical performances from Mica Paris and Emeli Sandé.

20 finalists announced for Commonwealth Youth Awards 2022
Commonwealth Youth Awards 2022 finalises 20 extraordinary young people, from 17 commonwealth countries, that includes inventors, activists and entrepreneurs for their outstanding contributions to the community. Organised by the Commonwealth Youth Programme, this award helps these youths to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and 2030 Agenda.

In the southern African kingdom of Lesotho, representations such as monuments and public holidays constitute a central element in the construction of national identity. The day is honoured by laying wreaths on the late King Moshoeshoe I’s grave at the top of Thaba-Bosiu fortress.
