This national holiday in the West African nation of Cameroon celebrates the country’s young people. Many schools and youth groups participate in parades and organise art exhibits and sports activities. Businesses trade food and merchandise along the parade routes.
Mozambique & Blue Forest launch Africa’s largest mangrove restoration project
Mozambique’s Ministry of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries (MIMAIP) launches the largest mangrove reforestation project. About 100 million mangroves will be planted in partnership with Blue Forest, a UAE-based mangrove reforestation specialist. Key ‘hot spot’ will be identified with high-resolution satellite imagery, LiDAR technology and remote sensing data in the total project area of 185,000 Hectares.

Prince William, Duchess Kate to visit Jamaica
Britain’s Prince William and his wife Kate will visit Jamaica as part of a Caribbean tour to mark the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Last year November, Prince Charles travelled to Barbados to bid farewell to the British Monarch as head of state. The Duke and the Duchess will also be touring the other Commonwealth nations. The last high-profile Caribbean tour took place in 2012, during the Diamond Jubilee year.
