The Women of Power and Transformation (WOPAT) announces a new initiative aimed at supporting about one billion successful women entrepreneurs across the globe. The launch was held via zoom at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Ghana. The initiative aims to target women who have an idea of business but lack resources to step into entrepreneurship.

Starting a tomato products business in Nigeria – entrepreneur’s journey so far

NaFarm Foods, co-founded by AbdulLateef Olaosebi, processes tomatoes into paste, puree and the popular stew sauces in Kaduna State in Nigeria. In 2015, the company was founded with the idea of selling dried and powdered tomatoes. However, after improving the distribution network and arrangements of more fundings, it now offers a range of products on a white-label basis for sale under various brand names.

BUA Foods lists 18 billion shares, now Nigeria’s second biggest consumer goods’ firm by market value

The food processing firm, BUA Foods, attains quoted company status after it listed 18 billion ordinary shares. It is now the biggest consumer goods company by market capitalisation after Nestle Nigeria and has made an entry into the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX)’s mainboard, the bourse’s second-highest listing segment.
