Women’s Rights Day Gabon
In 2011, the country adopted a new constitution that guaranteed equal rights for men and women, and in 2016, Gabonese voters elected the country’s first female vice president. Despite these gains, women in Gabon still face significant challenges and Women’s Rights Day advocates for greater gender equality and empowerment. On this day, various events and activities are organised nationwide to celebrate women’s achievements and promote gender equality. These events include conferences, seminars, workshops, and cultural performances.

Tanzania continues to claim top position as one of the best investment destination
The United Republic of Tanzania receives a staggering $1.2 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first quarter of 2023, as per Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) records. It shows a remarkable 52.4% increase in investment compared to the same period in 2022. This upsurge is attributed to the improving economic climate and the Government’s ongoing mega-infrastructure projects. The investment is aimed at 93 projects that are expected to generate a minimum of 16,400 employment opportunities.

Vaisakhi
It is a time of harvest and is celebrated in many parts of India as a harvest festival. In Punjab, where the majority of Sikhs live, Vaisakhi is celebrated with traditional dances such as bhangra and gidda, as well as feasting and merrymaking. On this day, Sikhs visit gurdwaras (Sikh temples) and participate in processions, prayers, and kirtans (hymn singing).
