As the host country, the Government of the Bahamas will lead the meeting, which serves as the primary decision-making platform for the Commonwealth women’s affairs ministers.

A Nigerian student’s water app wins at the Xylem Ignite Global Student Innovation Challenge

In a world where saving money and planning groceries take precedence over conserving water, Prosper Ukachi, a talented innovator from Abuja, Nigeria, is set to revolutionise our perception of water conservation. His groundbreaking concept, recognised in the Xylem Ignite Global Student Innovation Challenge, introduces the BlueHub app.
In collaboration with Gabriel Portas from Spain, Prosper’s team developed the prototype phone app, BlueHub, which holds the potential to transform our approach to water usage. The app allows users to calculate their water consumption and offers a plethora of strategies to reduce water usage, earn rewards, and connect with like-minded individuals who prioritise water conservation. With BlueHub, water consciousness may soon become a new global norm.
