Event: Launch of the 1st Self-Paced E-learning course on Digital Infrastructure and the Digital Divide

Webinar: Under the leadership of Gambia, the Commonwealth Connectivity Agenda Physical Connectivity Cluster (PCC) will launch its 1st-ever self-paced e-learning course on Digital Infrastructure and the Digital Divide on 21st September. To help and educate members of the Commonwealth this event will offer an introductory glimpse of the course.

Foreign Minister reaffirms Sri Lanka’s active commitment to dialogue and engagement with the Commonwealth

Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris reaffirms country’s active commitment to the Commonwealth with the Secretary-General the Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC, at a virtual meeting. Peiris further recalled that Sri Lanka as a founding member of the Commonwealth has remained proactive and committed to the values, principles and objectives of the Organisation and looks forward to future collaborations.

Her Majesty The Queen Recognises I-Kiribati climate activist with Commonwealth points of light award

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth, recognises Pelenise Alofa (Maike Pilitati), representing Kiribati, as the 195th Commonwealth Point of Light in honour of her exceptional voluntary service advocating for climate action. Pelenise, now aged 60, has run the ‘Kiribati Climate Action Network (KiriCAN)’ for more than 13 years to help communities respond to climate change and to raise global awareness.
