Rishi Sunak launches UK’s new artificial intelligence strategy
UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak unveils a £34 million National Artificial Intelligence Fund to support the creation of 2,000 elite AI scholarships to create a high-tech economy of the future. Sunak said the fund will help the UK build the skills needed for the jobs of the future and highlighted that AI has the potential to increase productivity by around GBP 200 billion a year to the economy.

TADB and IFAD strengthen ties to impact Tanzania smallholders
Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Tanzania to enhance access to capital among smallholder farmers with the Smallholder Farmers Credit Guarantee Scheme funds (SCGS) facility. The total funding managed at TADB for the SCGS is estimated to be about $25 million from the IFAD.
