At present, only about 4.5% of Africans had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the continent’s top public health official. The proposed site is likely to include drug substance manufacturing as well as bottling and packaging capabilities.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Edward mark the 2022 Commonwealth Games baton relay, a sporting event held every four years with athletes from across the Commonwealth.
