Kenya Women Billionaires: The story of Catherine Nyongesa
Meet Dr Catherine Nyongesa, the first female radiation oncologist in Kenya. In 2010, after realising a major gap in the health facilities provided to cancer patients in the country, Nyongesa started her journey with the opening of the Texas Cancer Centre, in Kenya. The facility which was started with a Ksh100 million loan is now worth more than Ksh1 billion. She is considered among the 23 women in the country who are now billionaires.

BioNTech to work with Rwanda to make mRNA vaccines
Rwanda government signs an agreement with German company BioNTech for its first end-to-end manufacturing of mRNA-based vaccines in Africa. BioNTech said the facility is expected to produce about 50 million doses per year, with the capacity likely to increase.
