Traditional Samoan medicine found as effective as ibuprofen by scientists
An ancient Samoan medicinal plant used to reduce inflammation has been scientifically validated by researchers in New Zealand and Samoa. Dr Seeseei Molimau-Samasoni, senior research director at the Scientific Research Organisation of Samoa and post-doctoral fellow Dr Helen Woolner have found the leaves of the matalafi tree, or psychotria insularum, as effective as ibuprofen.

Turning waste into opportunity – Tuvalu’s contribution to the circular economy
Tuvalu finds a way to dispose of its waste in an environment-friendly manner while building its export capacity. Tuvalu Department of Trade with the Department of Waste was able to build recyclable exports of waste items like plastic, cardboard and metal to generate at least 0.1 to 0.5% of the Government revenue for 2020-2021.

Crypto founders top young Australian rich list
Australian Financial Review releases a list of 87 richest entrepreneurs of the Commonwealth of Australia aged 40 and under. In this list, seven are crypto founders, each of which boasts a net worth of atleast $26.9 million. Kain Warwick, the founder of derivatives trading protocol Synthetix, is ranked as the most affluent crypto figure. Also, his brothers Aaron, Grant and Keiran who co-founded the upcoming play-to-earn crypto game Illuvium tops the chart this year.
