Colonial hill station becomes Malaysia’s third biosphere reserve
Malaysia’s Penang Hill and its surrounding forest were named as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO for its ecological diversity. The central forested area with interconnected peaks has now also sparked debate on the balance between conservation and post-covid tourism.

20 African countries meet in Uganda over IPR promotion, protection
20 African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation (ARIPO) Member States meet in Uganda to negotiate possible ways to consolidate creative works and innovation across the continent. A protocol on voluntary registration of copyright and related intellectual property rights is expected to be negotiated by the experts in the conference.

Empowering youth in small states at the forefront of Commonwealth COP26 agenda
