Tantie Lorraine’s Homemade is a contemporary producer of jams, chutneys and delicacies based on Trinidadian heritage. Trinidad and Tobago born Beverly Lorraine Frederick has been making sauces for about 10 years at her home in Surrey, England. Her small-scale venture still sources ingredients from the local wholesalers.

Solomon Islands push for USD$100 carbon levy on international shipping
Asia joins the Pacific to push International Maritime Organization (IMO) to decarbonise international shipping by 2050 and introduce a USD$100 carbon levy on shipping companies by 2025. Proposals by Solomon Islands, Kiribati and the Republic of Marshall received a boost after eleven Asian nations endorsed their position at the CVF’s (Climate Vulnerable Forum) fourth online regional dialogue.

Antigua, Tuvalu to seek justice over climate change damage
The Prime Ministers of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne and Tuvalu’s Kausea Natano signs a historic accord allowing for litigation for any severe damage to the Small Island States caused by climate change before international courts. The agreement will establish a Commission of Small Island States on Climate Change and International Law, creating a body for the development and implementation of international climate justice.
