Trinidad and Tobago’s fight against climate change include tracking greenhouse gas emissions with an MRV system. The first of its kind system records all sources of greenhouse gas emissions and its progress in reducing efforts. All the data is collected through a secure web-based portal which can be used among private and public stakeholders, Government ministries and other organisations for collaborations.

Fiji joins Australia’s recently established Indo-Pacific Carbon Offsets Scheme. The Scheme is modelled on the successful Emissions Reduction Fund and to develop a high-integrity carbon offset scheme in the Indo-Pacific region. Australian Government is also providing $44 million of boost above original investments of $59.9 million to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
