Kenya’s B2C e-commerce company Copia Global plans to expand to Rwanda and Tanzania as part of its Africa-wide growth strategy. The company model aims to increase e-commerce availability to people who do not have internet access. Through a network of about 30,000 agents, which are often shopkeepers and local grocers, can place orders online accessing lists of products. Tracey Turner serves as Founder and Executive Chairman of Copia Global.

India’s Chennai-based Ramcharan Company, a chemicals-trader-turned-renewable energy specialist inks a $2.2 billion order from the Ghana-based Masri Company. The deal will convert waste to energy with the potential to generate 300 MW of power in the African nation. Its execution is expected to commence in November 2022 under the brand name ‘Entity One’.

Nestlé Malta partners with a local NGO called Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna to plant over 100 trees at the Fort Rinella nature park in Kalkara. It is also in line with its global goal to plant 200 million trees by 2030. Nestlé will also take on the upkeep and care for these trees encouraging cross-pollination, vital for environmental sustainability.
