Agrotech launches XAF100 mln fundraising operation with a promise of cumulated 350% return over 5 years

Yellow’Coq, an agrotech specialising in mass production, distribution, and transformation of made-in-Cameroon poultry, launched a XAF100 million crowdfunding operation. Yellow’Coq intends to improve its overall capacity in the short term and plans to set up an African low-cost chicken fast food like AFC fast food soon. The startup added, “investors and shareholders will be entitled to 70% of the company’s dividends during the first five years of operations at the expense of the founders.”

Kenya’s Copia plans e-commerce expansion in Rwanda, Tanzania

Kenya’s B2C e-commerce company Copia Global plans to expand to Rwanda and Tanzania as part of its Africa-wide growth strategy. The company model aims to increase e-commerce availability to people who do not have internet access. Through a network of about 30,000 agents, which are often shopkeepers and local grocers, can place orders online accessing lists of products. Tracey Turner serves as Founder and Executive Chairman of Copia Global.

Ramcharan Company bags $2.2 billion order from Ghana firm to supply waste to energy units

India’s Chennai-based Ramcharan Company, a chemicals-trader-turned-renewable energy specialist inks a $2.2 billion order from the Ghana-based Masri Company. The deal will convert waste to energy with the potential to generate 300 MW of power in the African nation. Its execution is expected to commence in November 2022 under the brand name ‘Entity One’.
