Insurers Sanlam and Allianz exploring options for Africa operations
Sanlam Ltd, South Africa’s No.1 insurer, will be exploring “strategic alternatives” in relation to its investments with Allianz SE for their respective African businesses, excluding Sanlam’s home market of South Africa. Sanlam’s subsidiary Santam, the largest non-life insurer in South Africa, also released a parallel statement.

Santos to list on Papua New Guinea’s stock exchange
One of the leading independent oil and gas producers in the Asia-Pacific region, Santos will be listing on Papua New Guinea’s stock exchange, the PNGX. After Santos’ merger with Oil Search, it has successfully applied to list as an ‘Exempt Foreign Company’ on the PNGX becoming the exchange’s largest listing. The move also ensures that all the capital invested in Oil Search in PNG will stay in PNG.

St Kitts and Nevis will host major cricket tournament in 2022
