Botswana is all set to present a “Virtual Asset Bill” to the parliament, that proposes new cryptocurrency regulations. The drafted document seeks to prevent fraud from the new technologies and emerging enterprises. The regulators will grant an operating license to the applicants who will be responsible to protect assets belonging to the clients. Also, the regulation will make it one of the first African countries to govern cryptocurrencies.
