Mozambique & Blue Forest launch Africa’s largest mangrove restoration project
Mozambique’s Ministry of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries (MIMAIP) launches the largest mangrove reforestation project. About 100 million mangroves will be planted in partnership with Blue Forest, a UAE-based mangrove reforestation specialist. Key ‘hot spot’ will be identified with high-resolution satellite imagery, LiDAR technology and remote sensing data in the total project area of 185,000 Hectares.
