IPC unveils shortlist for 2022 International Women’s Day awards
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) shortlists outstanding female role models for the 2022 International Women’s Day Recognition. Following hundreds of nominations — Zimbabwe, Malaysia, Botswana, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, Mongolia and Iran made it to the finals. The winners will be honoured on 8 March’s global celebration of women and gender equality.

Brunei National Day
The National Day commemorates the day Brunei became an independent nation in 1984. Parade and performances are held during National Day celebrations in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei.

Guyana Republic Day
Mashramani festival is annually celebrated with a parade, music, games and cooking that intends to commemorate the “Birth of the Republic”. There are masquerade bands performing acrobatic dance routines on streets, calypso, soca, chutney-soca, and chutney music competitions are another integral part of this festival.
