Australia and Vanuatu to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the long-term operation of the Pacific Fusion Centre in Port Vila. The Centre aims to provide assessments and advice on the key security issues faced by the region such as crimes, climate and resource security. The other analysts from the Pacific family are also expected to join to work on the development of skills, training and mentoring opportunities.

To expand its diplomatic relations, St Kitts and Nevis sign a historic full visa waiver agreement with the South Pacific nation of Tuvalu in London. The country so far has signed about 33 new visa waiver agreements to grow its diplomatic presence across the world.
