Commonwealth tree planted for HM The Queen’s Jubilee
As a part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative, the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Rt Hon Patricia Scotland, plants the Commonwealth’s Jubilee tree. The Secretary-General planted a rare wild service tree or ‘chequer’s tree’ facing the Commonwealth headquarters at the Green Park which is one of London’s Royal Parks.

Malaysia selected to host 34th SEA Games in 2027
Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEA Games) unanimously awards the hosting of the 2027 Games to Malaysia. Later, Singapore also announced that it will host the 35th SEA Games in 2029.
