Meet Femada Shamam, CEO at TAFTA

It was wonderful to hear Femada Shamam, CEO of The Association for the Aged (TAFTA) in the session called Women in Leadership: Beyond Numbers at the Commonwealth Women Forum.
Seychelles Independence Day
In the days leading up to the event, the streets are decorated with the beautiful and bright colours of the Seychelles flag and fairy lights are hung from lamp posts. On the day itself, people celebrate by going on picnics or having BBQ with friends and families in parks and beaches. The fireworks display during the evening is the most anticipated light show of the year.
Bermuda National Heroes Day
This holiday pays tribute to the eight pioneering Bermudans who have made significant contributions to their society. They are honoured with the National Hero designation and tribute concerts and public events are held in their memory.
