Commonwealth empowers women entrepreneurs in the Maldives to do business through e-commerce
Commonwealth Secretariat in a four-day workshop helped female entrepreneurs learn about digital infrastructure opportunities through E-Commerce and Digital Marketing. They were registered to a trading platform designed especially for women entrepreneurs to sell their products online.

Nigeria to require social media platforms to open local offices
Online social media platforms will now be required to register and open offices in Nigeria. They will also need to appoint contact persons with the government. According to the country’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) these platforms will have to file annual reports with the number of registered users, complaints and inciteful content taken down due to misinformation.
