Guyana Independence Day
During this day celebrations begin with a flag-raising ceremony and a fireworks display throughout the evening. The President delivers a speech reflecting upon the country’s growth and progress since its Independence. The day is also celebrated by citizens with live music, fashion shows and various family activities.
Rwandan startup listed among World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers of 2022
Rwandan firm, Ampersand bags a spot in the list of 100 innovative tech startups in 2022 unveiled by World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Technology Pioneers. According to WEF, the list marks one of those startups that are at the forefront of their industries, bringing change and resolving the world’s most pressing problems like climate change, food security, cybersecurity, etc.

Commonwealth works with Mauritius to shape next generation of leaders to prioritise human rights
Commonwealth Secretariat’s Human Rights Unit and Youth Section, the Human Rights Division of the Mauritius Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade and the Human Rights and Democracy Network will organise a 3-day training workshop on ‘Human Rights and Youth Engagement’ in Mauritius.
