The day celebrates the document that unites the islands as one nation and guarantees the freedoms and rights of its citizens. Celebrations include patriotic speeches by key personalities and special government-organised events all across the nation.

This day is observed annually on the first day of Rabee ul Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar. The celebration begins with a flag-hoisting ceremony. National Cadet Corps and school performances are performed in public with Maldivian traditional music and festivities arranged for on the streets of Male.

The five-day 2022 Rwanda Epic cycling race is set to run from November 1-5. This event brings together worldwide top athletes and well-trained amateurs from across the globe. The mountain bike riders run from Kigali to Musanze and finally to Rubavu. Rwandan mountain bike racing stars like Jean-Eric Habimana and Nathan Byukusenge are all geared up to win this year’s edition.
