Commonwealth ministers adopt new model law to strengthen data protection rules
Commonwealth law ministers approves to update and adopt a new model law on data protection. This Commonwealth law model will handle the personal data of about 2.5 billion people. The law will be helpful in cyber related crimes, technology and cross-border data protection.

Kenya Jamhuri Day
“Jamhuri” in Swahili means republic. This day is celebrated with feasts, political speeches, parades, and dancing. On the 59th Jamhuri Day, celebrations will be held at the Nyayo stadium in the nation’s capital of Nairobi. This year, a special theme has been established which is innovative Jamhuri Day focusing on Connecting, Innovating and Inspiring with Technology.

Tanzania Independence Day
Tanzania’s President, Samia Suluhu Hassan, has cancelled the 61st Independence Day festivities and has decided instead to spend the budget on upgrading primary schools for children. Instead of parades and other celebrations about $445,000 (£364,000) of the budget will now be spent on dormitories for children with special needs.
