India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr S Jaishankar and Fiji’s PM Sitiveni Rabuka to organise the 12th World Hindi Conference from February 15-17 in Fiji. The conference will award “Vishwa Hindi Samman” to Hindi scholars from all over the world for their remarkable contributions. The 11th conference was held in Mauritius.

Indian PhonePe launches cross-border Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in 5 countries. Now Indian travellers can scan a QR Code and make transactions in Nepal, UAE, Singapore, Bhutan and Mauritius. In 2023, the UPI platform is expected to roll out in more countries, over a collaborative approach.

Malta Education Minister Clifton Grima launches a new policy document for schools to maintain consistency in curriculum and promote diversity teaching. The estimated target to fulfil those requirements is 2030. All the schools have been instructed to re-evaluate all their gender-specific facilities, activities, rules, policies and practices. It aims to allow children to have an understanding of diversity-rich situations and celebrate the unbiased individuality of students.
