In the afternoon, Grand Harbour in Valletta, National Regatta Association hosts a traditional competitive regatta in the clear waters of Malta. It is a time for the Maltese people to come together and celebrate their shared history and culture. It is also a day to reflect on the importance of freedom and democracy and to renew the commitment to building a better future for all.

Rama Navami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, one of the most revered deities in Hinduism. On this occasion, people observe fasts, chant prayers, and perform puja (worship) in honour of Lord Rama. They also decorate their homes and streets with flowers and lights and organise processions known as the ‘Rama Navami procession’ in which people dress up as characters from the Ramayana, the epic tale of Lord Rama’s life.

The Commonwealth Secretariat and Intel collaborate to jointly launch a digital learning platform that facilitates the understanding and utilisation of emerging technologies by public sector officials across 56 commonwealth countries. This initiative aims to dispel any confusion surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) and equip officials with the necessary knowledge to harness its potential.
