Julia Charlton shares insights and expertise at RCS Asia Regional Conference 2023 in Singapore
Chairman of the Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce, Julia Charlton, at the RCS Asia Regional Conference 2023 in Singapore shared thoughts on the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) of which over half the participating countries are Commonwealthwealth members in a panel on “The Commonwealth Advantage”. Fellow panellists were Ben Delo, British entrepreneur, mathematician and philanthropist who highlighted the Commonwealth opportunities in the UK Indo-Pacific tilt, Andrew Wells, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Hari Om Dahiya, President, Commonwealth Chambers of Commerce, India. The two-day event featured a range of discussions and dialogue about the future of the Commonwealth and the synergistic opportunities that await!

Labour Day Jamaica
Labour Day in Jamaica has its roots in the labour movement and the struggle for workers’ rights. The holiday was officially established in 1961. On this Day, Jamaicans participate in various activities and projects aimed at improving their communities. The day is known for the spirit of volunteerism and collective effort as individuals, organizations, and communities come together to engage in what is called “Labour Day projects.” These projects often involve cleaning up and beautifying public spaces, painting schools and community centres, repairing roads and infrastructure, planting trees and other activities that contribute to the betterment of society.

Dr Zaliha expresses Malaysia’s commitment to digitalising healthcare system at Commonwealth health meet
During the Commonwealth Health Ministers’ Meeting (CHMM), Malaysian Health Minister, Dr Zaliha Mustafa conveyed Malaysia’s dedication to the digitalisation of its healthcare system and the adoption of a data-driven approach. In her discussions at the CHMM on Saturday (May 20), Dr Zaliha highlighted the commitment of member nations towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030. Furthermore, she emphasised the pivotal role of primary healthcare in attaining comprehensive health coverage for all.
