To prevent the private sector from taking over digital payments as cash usage decreases, central banks worldwide are exploring digital versions of their currencies. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the decline of cash usage in some cases, prompting these studies.
The central banks of Japan, Brazil, and Australia have also initiated measures towards introducing a digital token.

In his address to the crowd at Windsor, William lauded Charles and acknowledged that the late Queen Elizabeth II would have been a very proud mother. He cited his grandmother’s statement during her own coronation, declaring that coronations signify our aspirations for the future, and noted that she was likely watching over them fondly from above. The newly crowned monarch and his wife were observed enjoying the performance.
