The winners and runners-up of this year’s Commonwealth Essay Prize were awarded at a reception hosted by the Queen Consort in Buckingham Palace. Queen Consort Camilla also paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II in a heart-touching speech quoting her as “dear mother-in-law”. This year more than 25000 young people entered the competition.
