Democracy Day Nigeria
Previously, this holiday was celebrated on May 29th, but in 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari signed into law the amendment of the Public Holiday Act, which declared June 12th as the new Democracy Day. The day is typically marked with various activities and ceremonies, including speeches by government officials, parades, cultural displays, and public gatherings. It provides an opportunity for political leaders to address the nation and highlight their achievements, as well as outline their plans for the future.

FIFA President reveals major Women’s World Cup ticket milestone
The upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ is set to make history as the most widely attended standalone women’s sporting event ever. Surpassing the ticket sales of the previous tournament held in France in 2019, over 1 million tickets have already been sold for the eagerly awaited competition. FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, shared the exciting news, revealing that a total of 1,032,884 tickets have been snapped up for the ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
