Malta the ‘World’s Hardest Working Country’ out of 150
A recent study by Business Name Generator probes Malta as the hardest-working country out of 150 other nations. The analysis found that the average paid work hours per week in Malta is 42.8, with 91.1% of workers putting in 49 or more hours per week. Bhutan, the United Arab Emirates, and Bangladesh secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. Notably, the margin between first and second place is significant, with Bhutan recording 53.9% of its workforce putting in 49 or more hours per week.

Singapore Exchange plans to focus on risk-hedging ESG
Singapore Exchange (SGX) Group aspires to broaden its presence in the metals and minerals market, with a particular focus on risk-hedging products pertaining to Indian infrastructure development ESG initiatives. William Chin, the Commodities Head at SGX Group, emphasised the significance of collaborative efforts with partners and stakeholders in both markets to develop solutions that cater to participants. Chin also highlighted SGX Group’s longstanding relationship with the financial and business community in India. The group plans to concentrate on areas such as ESG, green initiatives, new energy minerals and metals, and risk-hedging products linked to Indian infrastructure development.
