ICC confirm Caribbean venues for 2024 T20 World Cup

ICC shortlisted seven Caribbean venues which include the commonwealth nations such as Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago for the next year’s men’s T20 World Cup. It will feature about 20 teams overall. According to the cricket West Indies CEO Johnny Grave: “We are grateful to the host Governments of the Caribbean for their overwhelming responses and enthusiasm for hosting what will be the most significant sporting event held in our region for a generation.”

The introduction of Charterhouse Lagos marks the convergence of British independent school heritage with cutting-edge educational practices, ushering in a new era of excellence in West African education.

The school’s first intake of primary students will commence in September 2024. During the school’s launch, John Todd, the Founding Head of Charterhouse Lagos, expressed his excitement.

Indian parliament unanimously clears women Reservation Bill, PM Modi lauds decision

India’s parliament, led by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, passed the Constitution 128th Amendment Bill, also known as Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. The bill reserves one-third of seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies for women. All 214 MPs present voted in favour, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude for their support. The legislation is expected to empower ‘Nari Shakti’ as women assume leadership roles and contribute to nation-building.
