Ghana, South Africa agree on visa-free travels
In a recent development, the governments of Ghana and South Africa signed an agreement to introduce a visa waiver regime for ordinary passport holders. According to the information provided by Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, the agreement is set to become operational starting from November 1, 2023. Under this agreement, travellers holding ordinary passports from both nations will be allowed to transit through, depart from, and stay within each other’s territories for a cumulative period of up to ninety (90) days without the need for a visa. It is important to note that this arrangement does not permit employment during the stay.
