Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema announces the abolition of the controversial defamation law and the associated death penalty. The revoke is likely to provide its citizens more freedom of expression under the bill of rights. However, Opposition National Democratic Party leader Saboi Imboela has also warned people about the cybersecurity laws which still restrict the freedom of expression.
