Mary Yongai, a 26-year-old makeup artist from Sierra Leone, set a new Guinness World Record by completing 111 cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours, surpassing her goal of 100 and breaking the previous record of 96 held by Indonesia’s Martha Tilaar since 2005.
To meet Guinness requirements, each makeover included a full set of makeup steps, including concealer, foundation, eye shadow, and lipstick. The event, held in Freetown, Sierra Leone, attracted a large crowd, including local celebrities and government officials. Despite the challenge’s physical demands, Yongai only took a 20-minute break and relied on soft drinks and her faith to complete the feat.
