During a speech, Prince William expressed his pride to, King Charles III, as he ascended to the British throne. The following day, after a grand coronation ceremony witnessed by millions, King Charles III and Queen Camilla stepped aside to let other celebrities take the spotlight at a star-studded coronation concert held at Windsor Castle, featuring performances by Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and others. In his address to the crowd at Windsor, William lauded Charles and acknowledged that the late Queen Elizabeth II would have been a very proud mother. He cited his grandmother’s statement during her own coronation, declaring that coronations signify our aspirations for the future, and noted that she was likely watching over them fondly from above. The newly crowned monarch and his wife were observed enjoying the performance.
