Embakasi-based Opibus Limited displays an electric Boda boda (a motorcycle taxi) that can ride from Nairobi to Nyeri town, a distance of about 100 kilometres costing less than a dollar at the conference in Wote town, Makueni. It is the first locally manufactured electric bike in Kenya. Opibus had already raised $7.5m in funding led by a Silicon Valley fund for this low maintenance and fuel-efficient motorcycle.
